Nii Simmonds

Founder & CEO

Nii Simmonds is Founder & CEO of eNubia. He has extensive management experience with Fortune 500 companies in consumer products, pharmaceuticals, biotech and strategy consulting. Most recently, he’s worked and consulted for the World Bank, African Development Bank (AfDB) and International Finance Corporation (IFC). Functionally, Nii has held positions in management accounting, corporate finance, strategy, supply chains, new product development, and brand marketing. Nii has sector experience in agribusiness financial inclusion, diaspora investments, credit enhancements and financial innovations. Nii got his B.S. in Management/Finance from Smeal College of Business at Pennsylvania State University and a minor in Information Systems and Statistical Analysis. Mr. Simmonds holds an Executive Education Masters in Operations/Business Process Management from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.


 

Akos Johnson

Science Research Manager (Interim)

Akos has a background in biochemistry and physics. She has worked and consulted for chemical, pharmaceutical and biology companies in Asia and Middle East. Akos is very passionate about using science and research to solve Africa’s challenges. Akos is a graduate of Shanghai University and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. 


 

Ato Ulzen-Appiah

Community Partnerships

Ato Ulzen-Appiah is an entrepreneur and consultant. He works and consults in the youth and technology spaces primarily. He studied at MIT and Stanford in civil engineering and management disciplines. He’s the director at the GhanaThink Foundation which mobilizes and organizes talent for the primary benefit of Ghana. He’s a member of the Global Shapers Alumni, part of the World Economic Forum community. He has consulted for various organizations, including the World Bank and the International Trade Centre. He worked at Rancard as product manager building new revenue services off its platform. He worked at Google as a program manager building sustainable tech communities in Africa. He speaks and has spoken at various international forums, including the World Bank Diaspora Trade Forum, African Business Conference at Harvard, and the World Economic Forum on Africa in Cape Town. He co-founded Museke.com -an African music website and blogs at mightyafrican.blogspot.com


 

Tanko Mohammed

Proven success guiding business strategy with established and emerging technologies to achieve maximum operational impacts with minimum resource expenditures. Great interpersonal skills able to forge solid relationships with strategic partners and build consensus across multiple organizational levels.
